About Sue Henninger, Finger Lakes Writer

• Background: I have lived in the Finger Lakes region for most of my life. My husband and I each have our own business in the Village of Trumansburg, giving us plenty of opportunities for community and civic involvement. My professional work experience includes publicity and marketing, volunteer management, grant writing, newspaper reporting, social work, community development, and, of course, freelance writing.

• Why I write: I have been an avid reader and writer since I was old enough to hold a book or a pen by myself. I love to work with words and each new job is a challenge that I take on willingly. Every day is an adventure for me as I discover more about my new clients in the Finger Lakes Region and beyond and find new ways to highlight them for others.

• Writing Skills: Any piece of writing with my name on it is the best possible work that I can do for my clients. In particular I pride myself on accuracy, time management, and skillful interviewing.  

• Connection: I pride myself on being a connected writer just as the Finger Lakes connect Upstate New York. My freelance writing business allows me to meet unique people, try new services and products, and explore diverse areas.
